If you’re not familiar with a triathlon then simply put a triathlon is a multiple-stage competition involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance disciplines. There are plenty of variations of a triathlon around the world but the most popular form involves swimming, cycling, and running over various distances. The Mercuryman half iron distance triathlon will put athletes from all over the world to the test. It will take place on Sunday 18th January 2015 with proceeds raised from the event going to two important local causes. The Cayman Islands Mercuryman triathlon will be made up of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike race and a 13.1 mile run.

The route for the Triathlon is as follows: The swim course starts and ends on the beach by The Reef Resort (Grand Cayman). The bike course starts and ends at the transition area by The Reef Resort. The run course starts and ends at the transition area in the parking area by The Reef Resort.
