Little Cayman

Little Cayman

As its’ name implies, Little Cayman is the smallest of the three islands. If you visit the Cayman Islands, however, make sure to include a visit here too. With a permanent population of barely over 100, this tiny island is as serene and tranquil as it gets.

It is 10 miles long and only about one mile wide. It is the least developed island, and it is home to more than 50 amazing dive sites. It is located about 58 miles northeast of Grand Cayman4 and about five miles west of Cayman Brac.

This charming, uninhabited island is located about 200 yards away from the shores of South Town. If you are a strong swimmer, you may be able to get over there that way. People also kayak or row over to it. Owen Island offers exceptional privacy, and it is one experience that you will never forget.

Red-Footed Booby Bird Nature Reserve

Over in Blossom Village, you will find this unique reserve. It is home to the largest colony of red-footed booby birds, and it also includes many other gorgeous birds. As a UNESCO-designated nature reserve, it is well worth a visit.

Point o’ Sand Beach

You’ll find this lovely beach at the eastern end of the island. Gentle slope to walk into the water, crystal clear, lot’s of fish, pretty beach. There is a shelter house near the beach where you can picnic or at least get out of the sun if needed.
